What is FRP (Factory Reset Protection)?
The security feature introduced by Google in Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and later versions is called FRP, Factory Reset Protection. The main purpose of this security feature is to prevent unauthorized use of Android phones. For example, if your phone is stolen and a new user tries to use it, they will not be able to do so without entering their Google Account password. It would be impossible to use the phone. It’s a kind of “You stole it, but you can’t use it” message. This prevents your pictures, videos, and personal information from being seen by anyone else. Even if the thief resets the phone to factory settings, they will have to enter this password to use the phone.
But what if your phone hasn’t been stolen, but you’ve forgotten your password? Because you will not have access to it either. Of course, you don’t want to be in that situation. At this point, when you forget your password and are worried, FRPlock022 tool comes into play and helps you. How does it work?
First of all, let me say that FRP Lock 022 is an unlock software. Therefore, the software needs to be installed on a computer first. You can download the installation files of the software from the page directed via Bit.Ly or from here. Once the installation is complete, you should connect your lost phone to the computer via the USB port. When you open the program, it will identify your phone. Your task is to press the Unlock button. This will remove the lock and you will be able to use your phone again. However, if you don’t know the password for your old account, you won’t be able to access it using this method. You can only create a new account and continue using it. So it’s safer to write your password down so you don’t forget it. I recommend that you do this first.
A reminder!
When you connect your phone to your computer, it will ask you to enable debugging mode or in some cases ADB. This is because the FRP lock will prevent you from accessing the options window of your phone. It will also prevent you from enabling debug mode later. To proceed with this step, you need to do the following.
1 – Enable USB debugging mode on a FRP locked phone.
First of all, we will use apk software that provides OTG and FRP bypassing. There are applications developed for this purpose (1: QuickShortcutMaker APK – 2: Samsung FRP Bypass APK – 3: FRP Hijacker by Hagard). Using one of them will do the trick.
In this method we will use an OTG cable and a USB stick. First, install the Apk application on the USB flash drive. Then connect it to your phone with the OTG cable. The phone will automatically open the drive. Click on the installation file and install the application on your phone. This way, when you run the application, you will be able to use the options window of your mobile phone through the application. You will immediately enable USB debugging mode.
2 – Enable USB debugging mode with ADB commands.
If the above method doesn’t work for you, or you can’t find the cable to do it, you’ll have to use ADB commands. But to do this, you must have unlocked the FRP lock that I mentioned at the beginning of this article.
Then do the following in order:
First, turn on your phone in download mode, also known as Odin mode. To do this, you must first install your phone’s own drivers on your computer so that the computer can recognize your phone. For example, if you have a Samsung, install the Samsung USB drivers on your computer. Then press all three Volume Down + Power + Home buttons on your phone simultaneously for a few seconds. Then download the ADB (Android Debug Bridge) application from the search engine and install it on your phone using the USB flash drive method above. When you open the application, you will see a command prompt. In this window, type the following commands
“adb shell settings put global adb_enabled 1” This command will open the USB debugging mode. You will then have full access to your phone and can continue using it.
If you have done all these steps and still can’t open the debug mode of your phone, then as a last resort you should try applications like SamFirm Tool, FRP Hijacker or GSM Flasher. Because these applications try to open debug mode automatically when you run them, and they are quite successful. But they are paid software, so you have to buy them.
